Police investigating careless discharge of firearm
Lethbridge Police are investigating the careless discharge of a firearm after a bullet hole was located in a southside home.
On July 12 just after 10:30 a.m. police responded to a report of a bullet hole in the front window of a home along the 1000 block of 12 Street South. A TV directly in front of the window was also damaged. After going to bed at approximately 11:30 p.m. July 11, the occupants of the home did not hear any noise and didn’t discover the damage until morning.
Following further investigation, police located several witnesses who reported hearing a loud bang or pop between midnight and 1 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone in the area with CCTV to check their camera footage July 12 between midnight and 1 a.m. Any suspicious people or activity that is observed should be reported by calling 403-328-4444 and referencing file 24013411.
