Police issue 286 tickets and 34 warnings during Street Machine Weekend

Lethbridge Police issued a total of 286 tickets and 34 warnings for various traffic violations over the course of the Street Machine Weekend, held from July 11 to 13, 2025.

The majority of the infractions were related to stunting, speeding, and equipment violations. However, enforcement efforts also led to:

• Two Immediate Roadside Sanction (IRS) Cautions
• One IRS Refusal
• One 24-hour licence suspension
• Nine vehicle tows, including one incident that drew a large crowd when an unregistered and unsafe vehicle was removed from the roadway
• One impaired driving charge
• One assault charge
• One outstanding warrant executed

Lethbridge Police have observed a steady increase in attendance at Street Machine events and would like to thank the majority of participants who continue to follow traffic laws and enjoy the weekend safely and responsibly.
