Police seeking public assistance to locate identified armed robbery suspect

UPDATE: July 17, 2025

Lethbridge Police have identified the male suspect of an armed robbery and are seeking public assistance to locate him.

Robert James Speir, 62, of Lethbridge, is charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.

Anyone who has seen Speir, or has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 25011496.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.

Police seeking public assistance to identify armed robbery suspect

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect in a liquor store robbery.

On June 26 just after 7 p.m., an unknown male entered Ace Liquor along the 300 block of Bluefox Blvd North. The male selected liquor, approached the front counter, then produced a knife and demanded cash. An undisclosed quantity was provided and the male fled. No one was injured. 

The subject is described a Caucasian male in his 40s or 50s, about six feet tall with a medium build. A surveillance image is included for release. 

Anyone who can identify the male or has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 25011496.
