  • Police apprehend four impaired drivers during targeted traffic enforcement project

    Lethbridge Police, with assistance from Alberta Sheriffs, apprehended four impaired drivers and issued 69 tickets – mostly for equipment violations –  during a targeted traffic enforcement project that will continue throughout the summer.

    The goal of the enforcement initiative is to provide safer roads for all users by targeting speeding, excessive vehicle noise, racing, stunting and other illegal behaviours in areas throughout the city where members of the public have reported concerns. Similar operations were conducted in 2022 and 2023 to help address the concerns and reduce violations.

  • Police reminding drivers to slow their roll

    The Lethbridge Police Service is reminding motorists to slow down, pay attention to the road and always obey the posted speed limit to help keep everyone safe.

  • Seatbelts Save Lives

    Seatbelts must always be worn, properly adjusted and securely fastened when travelling in a vehicle.

  • Keep your eyes on the road - one text can wait

    Lethbridge Police, and other law enforcement agencies throughout the province, will be focusing on distracted driving throughout the month of February.

  • Intersection Safety

    Lethbridge Police and other law enforcement agencies throughout the province are focusing on Intersection Safety for the month of January.
