Proactive investigation links violent incidents; four people charged

It was determined that two subjects were involved in multiple offences, including a food fraud and two separate stabbing incidents where two different 18-year-old men sustained non-life-threatening injuries. In both stabbing cases, the victims were randomly assaulted while walking between the 400 and 600 blocks of 13 Street North on October 23.
As part of the ongoing investigation, on October 28 around 8 p.m., members of the Crime Suppression Team and K9 Unit observed the robbery of a 57-year-old man who was walking westbound along 5 Avenue near 13 Street North. The victim was confronted by four individuals, who forcibly removed his backpack and began to assault him with a baton. Officers immediately intervened and arrested three males and one female. The victim sustained minor injuries.
