As Fraud Prevention Month comes to an end, the Lethbridge Police Service would like to highlight a few key tips. 

Our Economic Crimes Unit facilitates presentations to interested business and groups, as capacity permits. They provide up-to-date information about frauds and scams, as well as share tips on how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Last year Lethbridge Police responded to nearly 32,000 calls for service and 99.4 per cent were resolved without any use of force.

The LPS Recruiting Unit is hosting a sitting for the Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test (APCAT) on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The APCAT is available to potential candidates and should be successfully completed prior to applying with LPS.

Lethbridge Police continue to investigate a collision that resulted in two pedestrians being struck by a vehicle earlier this morning.

Victims are led to believe a virus has infected their computer. Scammers posing as a credible technology company then gain access to their computer to "fix" it and instead run programs and alter settings that can install malware or steal personal and financial information.
