On behalf of the Lethbridge Police Service, PRA Inc. will be conducting a random telephone survey starting July 2 to gather information and feedback from the public.
Lethbridge Police removed one impaired driver from the road, arrested two people wanted on an outstanding warrants and issued 55 tickets during a targeted traffic enforcement project over the weekend that will continue throughout the summer.
Lethbridge Police stopped a bike theft in progress after covert officers working in the downtown core witnessed the offence and arrested two subjects during an ongoing enforcement project targeting crime and social disorder downtown.
UPDATE: Following an extensive search, the cougar has not been located. Residents are advised to remain cautious, avoid Indian Battle Park at this time and contact 403-328-4444 if the cougar is sighted.
While there is no immediate danger to the public, residents are asked to remain cautious about the cougar’s possible presence in the area. If sighted, please call 403-328-4444.
Seventeen officers from throughout southern Alberta were presented with Cpl. Cumming’s Watch awards by MADD Lethbridge & Area Chapter for their efforts detecting and apprehending impaired drivers.
UPDATE: Following an extensive search, the cougar was not located. Police have advised the impacted schools accordingly.
