Police warn opioid users to take precautions following two deaths

Lethbridge Police are advising opioid users to be aware of a bad batch of the drug and take precautions.

Over the past 24 hours police responded to two suspected overdose deaths and officers believe an extremely potent batch of opioids is in circulation on city streets. Anyone using opioids is advised to do so at the Supervised Consumption Site or have Naloxone and someone with the ability to administer it, nearby.

Police will not be releasing any further information about the two deaths.

Massage therapist charged with sexual assault

Lethbridge Police have charged a 53-year-old massage therapist with sexual assault.

On November 28, 2018 a 34-year-old woman attended the police station and reported she was sexually assaulted during a massage earlier in the day. The allegations involve inappropriate touching. Following further investigation the male was subsequently charged. 

Police seeking public assistance to locate missing male

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a missing 37-year-old man.

John Michael Yellowface was last seen in Lethbridge on December 17. Efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful and police are concerned for his well-being.
