Police investigating home invasion

Lethbridge Police are investigating a home invasion late last month after two armed males forced their way into a south side home.

On May 26, 2019 just before midnight police responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence along the 400 block of 27 Street South. Investigation determined that two unknown males armed with firearms forced open the door and confronted two female occupants over the whereabouts of a male associate. After searching the home the subjects fled. The women were not injured.

Police charge male with sexual assault

Lethbridge Police have charged a 42-year-old man in connection with an incident where a female sales associate was sexually assaulted while showing a home to a prospective buyer. 

Internal investigation directed following social media post

Lethbridge Police are investigating an incident that was posted to social media alleging a uniformed officer urinated in a downtown parking lot.

The complainant reported the matter to police and posted a photo and comments to a local Facebook group page. An internal service investigation was subsequently directed by the Chief of Police and is currently underway.

No further information will be released, nor will police comment on the matter at this time.
